96 éves korában elhunyt Yona Friedman, magyar építész - adta hírül az index.hu 2020 februárjában. Friedman János néven született Budapesten 1923 június 5-én, három évvel és egy nappal a Trianoni békeszerződés után. A Yona nevet a cionista ellenállás tagjaként vette fel. 1945-től Izraelben és Franciaországban, később pedig az USA-ban élt. Tulajdonképpen inkább az építészet teoretikusa és művésze volt, mivel csak nagyon kevés terve valósult meg. Munkáinak egyik fő jellemzője az egyszerűségre törekvés (“simplicity”), minimalizmus és az emberközpontúság.
